Nearly 60 years ago, when Red Deer was a town of just 25,000 people, local leaders came together with a vision to support those in need. That effort grew into the United Way Central Alberta, which has since played a pivotal role in addressing key issues like mental health, housing, and poverty. As the region expands and faces new challenges, United Way continues to build stronger communities, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

The 13th Annual Whisky Classic, presented by Gasoline Alley Law Group, is more than a whisky event—it’s a celebration of community, local craftsmanship, and the power of collective support. This year’s event, on November 7th, promises an exceptional experience for whisky lovers and community supporters alike.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the VIP Tasting, sponsored by Eagle Builders LP, offering attendees the opportunity to sample rare and exclusive whiskies from around the world. But what truly makes this year special is the presence of two local distilleries that represent the spirit of Central Alberta: Diony Distillery and Troubled Monk.

Both distilleries will proudly showcase their own creations. Diony Distillery will debut a limited-edition whisky crafted specifically for the VIP event, while Trouble Monk Brewery will feature their award-winning Grainhenge whisky. These two distilleries are at the heart of Alberta’s whisky-making scene, representing a dedication to quality and local craftsmanship that resonates far beyond their home region.

For those attending, the Whisky Classic promises an unforgettable evening, offering the chance to sample from over 40 premium whiskies from around the world, including these local gems. But it’s also a reminder of the importance of supporting our communities. With all funds raised staying within the region, the event plays a vital role in helping United Way Central Alberta continue its essential work.

Whether you’re a whisky enthusiast, a supporter of community causes, or simply curious about Alberta’s craft whisky scene, join us on November 7th for an evening of great whisky, local pride, and a shared commitment to making a difference. Let’s raise a glass to the power of community and the partnerships that help build a brighter, stronger future.
