Archival Giclée Panoramic Print with Handmade Wooden Frame

Size: 14″ x 39″

Artist: Gordon Hiebert

As Gordon took the photo, he noted the Mossleigh P&H elevators, which have been preserved by the town. It’s one of the very few places where you can find three in a row.

Nestled in the heart of Alberta’s agricultural landscape, Mossleigh is a small community known for its rich farming heritage and vibrant rural life. The grain elevators stand tall against the horizon, serving as a reminder of the vital role grain storage and transport played in the region’s development. These historic structures enhance the town’s skyline while capturing the essence of Alberta’s agricultural history.

The Mossleigh elevators have a storied past, dating back to the early 20th century when grain farming became a cornerstone of the local economy. Originally built to facilitate grain shipping, these elevators reflect the town’s growth and agricultural evolution. An interesting highlight is the annual “Mossleigh Grain Elevator Festival,” which celebrates the community’s heritage and brings together locals and visitors for a day of activities. For Gordon, capturing this moment honored the rich history these elevators represent.

A miniature framed print, approximately 28 inches in length, is available in the gallery for $90 plus GST.
