The Franklin Elevator, located in Franklin, Alberta, is a significant piece of the province’s agricultural history. Built in the early 20th century, it served as a crucial hub for storing and shipping grain produced by local farmers, relying on the railway for transportation to larger markets.
At a now-unused whistle-stop along the tracks, Gordon found the old Franklin Elevator and workshed. One of the things he loves about the prairies is stumbling upon these unexpected treasures. He did his best to capture the essence of the place, and this image represents his second view of the scene.
